Stainless steel appliances are notoriously difficult to maintain, but the one product that I have found that works the best is Magic Stainless Steel Cleaner & Polish, available from Magic American.

Many stainless steel polishes are quite oily – too oily really – but this is not a problem with Magic.

Magic Stainless Steel Cleaner rehydrates stainless steel surfaces while eliminating fingerprints and smudges. It’s never failed me yet.

This product comes in an aerosol can and a pump spray, but I have only used the aerosol can, which locally seems only to be available at Home Depot.

If you are concerned about the environment (which I usually am), this may not be the product for you. While I am not qualified to comment on this product's environmental impact, my hunch is that it isn't an earth-friendly product. While I usually gravitate towards greener products, I sometimes have to bite the bullet and simply use the product that works the best, and in this case Magic Stainless Steel Cleaner fits the bill.

I have used three other products from Magic American, two of which I was unhappy with, and one which I like but use infrequently.

The two that didn’t cut muster with me were the Magic Shower Glass & Mirror Cleaner, which I found to be too irritating to the eyes (even when I left the room for 5 minutes), and the Grout & Tile Cleaner, which I did not find to be the least bit effective.

The other product I did like was the Magic Leather Cleaner Spray, which hydrates leather nicely. It will give your leather products that same smell you notice when you walk into a leather furniture store. One word of warning though, because this product does hydrate and condition your leather, it will visually darken it a bit, too.
