Wouldn't it be amazing if you could help others in need just by cleaning out your closet? Well now you can.
During the month of June, Urban Urbane is conducting a shoe drive to collect 1,000 pairs of shoes to help those less fortunate around the globe. By donating gently used shoes you no longer want, you can help Soles4Souls create meaningful business opportunities for people in developing countries.
Soles4Souls is a non-profit social enterprise that creates sustainable jobs and provides disaster relief through the distribution of shoes and clothing around the world. Founded in 2006, the organization has distributed more than 30 million pairs of new and used shoes in 127 countries.
Soles4Souls will convert every used pair of shoes collected from the community into a value-added social currency to achieve positive humanitarian and economic change. Gently used shoes will be distributed to micro-enterprise programs that create jobs in Haiti, Honduras and other developing nations.
From June 1st to the 30th, you can drop off new or gently used shoes (any style, age, or gender) at the following locations during regular business hours. And be sure to ask your friends, family, and neighbors for donations, too.
